Therapy can be beneficial for so many people for so many different reasons. The fact that you are here on this page seems like you’re ready and looking for some sort of change.
Therapy can be hard work, vulnerable, and scary, but I would ask yourself if you are ready for a change. Are you ready to learn about yourself, grow, challenge yourself, examine old patterns and habits, practice new skills, fail a few times, and try again with unconditional support along the way? Are you ready to face the exhaustion from putting on a happy face when you feel like you’re falling apart? Are you ready to deal with anxiety, depression, or intense anger that’s getting harder to manage? Are you ready to bring to light some things that may be hard to acknowledge? Are you ready to examine the things you have learned to accept and live with that are causing you harm or unnecessary stress day-in and day-out?
If you’re looking for a place to be authentically yourself, learn new skills, grow in different ways, feel safe and able to explore things that you may have previously pushed aside or dealt with, then therapy is right for you.
Whether it’s a completely new adventure or more of a refresher, I would be honored to help you in your journey of reaching your goals.

The 15-minute consultation is a great way for both of us to see if we connect and are going to be a good fit in a therapeutic relationship. It’s hard to get to know someone in such a short amount of time, but the goal is to see if we think moving forward is the right step! Finding a match in therapy can feel overwhelming and sometimes it takes a few tries. The consultation call gives us an opportunity to see if what you’re looking for meets my style of therapy! Ultimately, you feeling comfortable with your therapist has a huge impact on your success reaching your goals. My goal and obligation is to help people, and in doing so, acknowledge when something might be out of my scope of practice. If that’s the case, we can discuss this together, and I will provide appropriate referrals for a better match!

After the consultation call and before your first session, I will send you documents through a secure client portal. These documents will include privacy policies, my practice policies, informed consent for treatment, as well as intake forms that include questions about why you are seeking therapy, what you hope to get out of therapy, background questions, and other important information. Prior to our first session, I will review these documents so that I have basic background and current information to help guide our first interaction together. (I’ll ask that these forms be completed at least 48 hours prior to our first session together so that we can jump right in and not waste valuable time with tons of paperwork!)
During our first session, I’ll ask questions to fill in any holes in the documentation, and we will begin to identify and develop your goals that will guide your treatment and our sessions together.

Therapy should be tailored to each person individually. We are all unique with different needs, and cookie-cutter treatments just won’t do. Initially, I recommend meeting weekly to identify and address your goals and needs, and all sessions are blocked off for 60 minutes. Some people benefit from a few months of therapy while others invest years learning new skills and working through different needs. Re-evaluating your needs as time goes on will be a part of our work together, and we can change how often we meet if necessary (weekly to bi-monthly or monthly).

First and foremost - advocating for yourself is a wonderful skill, and I encourage you to let me know if you feel this way! Research shows that finding the right therapist and having a good therapeutic relationship is one of the most influential factors in having successful outcomes in therapy, which is exactly what I want you to have! Sometimes this offers a great opportunity for exploration, deeper understanding and growth, and sometimes it’s a great opportunity for us to reset, practice communication and interpersonal skills, re-evaluate, and move forward.
If it turns out we are not a good fit (don’t worry - this happens sometimes!), I am more than happy to provide referrals to other clinicians in the area.

Self-pay sessions cost $125 for up to 60 minutes. I accept credit, debit, and HSA cards at this time.
I am currently able to accept some insurance plans. Check your specific coverage and costs by clicking here.
If your insurance is out-of-network, I can offer you a receipt of your payments called a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits, if applicable. You can contact your insurance company to inquire about potential out-of-network benefits. You may be eligible to receive some reimbursement from your insurance company. Superbills require a diagnosis as well as other pertinent clinical information in order for your insurance company to potentially reimburse you.
If you are not planning on using insurance for in-network or out-of-network benefits, obtaining a diagnosis is not required.
Some questions to ask your insurance company related to out-of-network mental health out-patient benefits:
Do you need pre-authorization?
Do you have a co-payment?
Do you have a deductible? If so, what is it?
How much have you earned toward your deductible this year?
Do you have co-insurance?
How long do you have to meet the “timely filing” window?
What is the proper fax number and/or mailing address to submit the Superbill?
Does the insurance company have a portal you can use to electronically submit Superbills? If so, how can you gain access to it? You might need an invite.
*These questions are recommended, but still may not guarantee payment from your insurance company. Please contact them directly.

I understand that life can be hectic sometimes which might result in needing to cancel an appointment. I ask that you cancel sessions at least 24 hours prior to our scheduled appointment time. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in the credit card on file being charged.
